Many of you may have hoped we would post a beverage in honor of this past weekend's game. But, Wisconsin is really only known for beer and cheese curds neither of which are that great in cocktails. So, we decided to branch out and look at the other holidays celebrated in February. While Valentine's Day is almost upon us, FIRST we must celebrate Colleen's favorite President, Abraham Lincoln. Here's to you, Abe.
El Presidente
1 1/2 oz. light rum
1/2 oz. dry vermouth
1/2 oz. triple sec or if you're rolling in the dough, Cointreau
1/4 oz. grenadine
1/4 oz. lemon juice
Pour all ingredients over ice in a glass. Stir and strain into chilled martini glass.
Hail to the chief.
